About Us

VIP Security

Founded in 1997, VIP Security specialised in large building and industrial security projects. The business grew quickly, and in January 2000 VIP Security was bought by international giant Siemens.

The systems and training given, allowed the new Siemens Security division to successfully take on larger and more complex projects. In late 2002, Siemens International decided to restructure the business models and the founder Dave Proud purchased the company and re-formed VIP Security.

Since then, while still promoting Siemens and other quality products, VIP Security has again grown to become a major player in corporate, commercial and industrial security (see our testimonials and previous projects). VIP Security's head office is in Christchurch, and with our technicians working across the South Island, we service customers as far afield as Picton, Balclutha and Dunedin.

We believe our strength comes from our staff, who all exhibit a strong focus on customer satisfaction and are committed to go the extra mile to achieve the desired results. Our goal is to be the leading security installation company by choice in the South Island. We aim to do this by providing excellent service with a dedicated and professional team. David

Director/Sales Engineer (NZCE, ESTB, IQP, NCES L3 Security)

David has worked in the security industry since 1988, including all aspects of large projects and fourteen years in management.

His knowledge in engineering and outgoing personality has enabled David to promote security to people on all levels.

David has grown his company with the high work standards and dedication to customers that have always been of core importance to him.

David now mostly focuses on growing the business whilst still ensuring our clients high expectations are met.

VIP Security is a committed member of the NZSA (New Zealand Security Association), Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, FMANZ (Facility Management Association of New Zealand) and several more organisations.

We feel that a responsible attitude determines a responsible and accountable business. .

Training

 

In an age where technological advances are rapid and regular it takes a large commitment to ensure that your team are competent and skilled enough to work with constantly evolving systems.

Training for our team is not just an in-house process. Many of the VIP Security staff find themselves attending training all around the Country and often at times also in other parts of the World.
